Flying Broom International Women’s Film Festival, established in 1998, is the first women’s film festival organized in Turkey. The festival aims to make women filmmakers’ productions visible, give voice to women’s stories, and promote gender equality discourse through cinema. The festival, held annually in Ankara, screens short, feature, and documentary films by national and international women directors, and supports cinema discussions through events such as panels, talks, and workshops.

Short and feature films directed by women in 2026 and 2025 can apply to the 29th Flying Broom International Women’s Film Festival. Applications are not yet open.
