Nadia Meflah
Nadia Meflah is an author, critic, programmer, educator and lecturer working with diverse audiences across film theatres, cultural centres and media libraries.
After three years at the Cannes Critics’ Week, she has worked as an artistic delegate for several festivals, focusing on multiculturalism and migration. She has been involved in programming and development processes in France, Algeria and Morocco, contributing to the circulation of films from the Maghreb and the Middle East.
She has developed programmes for the National Museum of Immigration History in Paris and collaborated with Columbia University and Grinnell College. She is the director of Oum Kalthoum: The Voice of Cairo (Arte, 2017) and the author of Chaplin and Women.
Since 2018, she has been a consultant for CNC – Aide aux Cinémas du Monde, while continuing her work as a festival programmer and lecturer. Her work focuses on amplifying diverse narratives and expanding spaces of expression.
Ece Vitrinel
Ece Vitrinel was born in Istanbul in 1981. She completed her undergraduate and graduate studies at Galatasaray University and received her PhD in Film and Media Studies from Sorbonne Nouvelle – Paris 3 and Galatasaray University in 2015. She is currently an associate professor at the Faculty of Communication at Galatasaray University.
Her research focuses on film industries, audiences and screens, and digital platforms. Since 2007, she has been a member of the pre-selection committee of the Sinepark Short Genre Film Festival.
Alongside her academic work, she writes on cinema and culture for BirGün Pazar and The Art Newspaper Türkiye.
Omnia Adel
Omnia Adel is an Egyptian film critic, a board member of the Egyptian Film Critics Association (EFCA), and a member of the Cinematic Professions Syndicate. She is currently the Managing Editor of El Film Magazine.
She is a programmer at the Aswan International Women’s Film Festival and has served on the selection committees of the Cairo, Ismailia, and Alexandria film festivals, while also working as a catalog editor.
Her writing appears in FilmBuff, Rassif 22, El-Manassa and other platforms. She is the author of The Hidden Path of Filmmakers / مسيرة صناع السينما الخفية and is currently working on her second book, El-Moqawalat, on Egyptian commercial cinema.
Alongside her critical work, she is also developing her own short film project through various script development workshops.
