With the support of the EU Civil Society Dialogue Fund, a program titled “Women’s Cinema” has been launched on our YouTube channel.
The project aims to achieve the following objectives:
- Reach women who are in the cinema-television industry, still students, or considering a career,
- Make the work of women behind the camera visible,
- Enhance solidarity among women filmmakers,
- Create representation opportunities for female students in cinema and communication and young women filmmakers,
- Provide an environment for new perspectives in the cinema-television field.
Twelve separate programs will be prepared and broadcast weekly on the Uçan Süpürge Foundation’s YouTube channel under the moderation of Fatma Edemen.
The guest of the first program was animation director Nurbanu Asena.
The guest of the second program was director Çağla Zencirci.
The guest of the third program was actress and voice artist Şenay Gürler.
The guest of the fourth program was director Ayten Başer.
The guest of the fifth program was director, editor, and video activist Sibel Tekin.
The guest of the sixth program was Buse Halaçoğlu from the Assistant Directors Platform.
The guest of the seventh program was actress Ece Dizdar.
The guest of the eighth program was cinematographer Meryem Havuz.
The guest of the ninth program was cinematographer Irmak Karasu.
The guest of the tenth program was actress, director, and editor Ayris Alptekin.
The guest of the eleventh program was the General Secretary of the Cinema TV Union Damla Kırkalı.
The guest of the twelfth program was producer and director Su Baloğlu.
