On October 5th, at the “Our Issue is Ankara” session held in the KentFest foyer stage, we hosted Halime Güner, the founder of our foundation, and Pınar Alpay Yüksel, Secretary General of the Sevda-Cenap And Music Foundation.

KentFest, organized by the Etimesgut Municipality, took place on the stage and foyer of the 100th Year Republic Cultural Center (CKM). Thanks to this esteemed institution, we were able to discuss urban culture and art institutions together.

Throughout the session, deep and inspiring conversations were held around topics such as the sustainability of independent art institutions, their relationship with urban memory, education & production processes, and institutional transformation.

As the Flying Broom Foundation, we were delighted to be able to collaborate with cultural and arts organizations with over 30 years of experience on such a platform. We would like to thank the Sevda-Cenap And Music Foundation for their valuable contributions, sharing of ideas, and sharing their vision.

We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to the Etimesgut Municipality for presenting this event to our city, its art lovers, and us. Hosting such a festival that embraces the city’s culture is a great value for both institutions and the public.

Thank you to everyone—participants, audience, speakers. Let’s move forward with art, with the city, with care.
