With the organization of the Uçan Süpürge women’s organization, and with the support of the chair and members of the Commission on Equality of Opportunity for Women and Men established in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM), both parliamentarians and representatives of women’s organizations came together in the TBMM, and experienced academics and civil society representatives held a session on CEDAW under the roof of the TBMM.
