The training seminar titled “Women and Politics: Organized Women Organize the Future,” organized in collaboration with Flying Broom and the German Cultural Center, took place in Ankara on November 25-26, 2004. With this meeting, Flying Broom emphasized the importance of increasing the effectiveness of efforts to defend women’s rights in Turkey, conduct campaigns against attacks on women’s rights, and elevate the status of women. It also drew attention to the importance of lobbying to monitor the implementation of changing laws and to follow up and advocate for expressed promises. There were also lobbying trainers from Germany at this meeting.
